Old dog, new tricks

For the first time in WELL over 15 years I am working on new solo lit. I forgot how awesome the feeling of working up a program is. I also appreciate that there are people out there writing music that doesn't require you to play the small horn up in the stratosphere all day long. Playing a solo on the big horn can be quite refreshing.

I'm diving in to the research, but what lit has come out in the past decade or two that you guys really enjoy?

Looking at giving a recital next year just for the heck of it.....

Look up Stuff by James Grant. It is a lot of fun to play and I'm sure would be even more so on the Holton.

Stuff is one of the ones I have! It is a fun work. I'm probably going to do it on the big CC considering a lot of it appears to be written with the CC in mind.... But yes, it is fun on the 345 as well.....
