I believe it's on Velvet Brown's new CD - "music for velvet" and I know it's on Joe Skillens CD " Blue Plate Special"

Also listen to Charlie Vernon with the DePaul Band. Great interpretation...and F. Cooley is on that one as well!

Ewazen Tuba Concerto

Post by EuphDad »

FYI - The Ewazen Tuba Concerto with Fritz Kaenzig has just been released on a CD titled "Collaborations" by the University of Michigan Symphony Band under the Equilibrium label.

I was in NY when the Juilliard Orchestra premiered it. Stefan won the competition to perform it, but my copy from Mr. Ewazen himself says "For the Juilliard School". I don't know if it was written for him, but I may be wrong.
