That is SO cool! Congratulations!

BTW, what brand is that case? I've seen them before, and can never remember. Years from now, when my Willson finally breaks my back, I could easily find myself happy with a Rudy 3/4. Great tubas, period, so a special one must be just plain amazing.

Gorgeous tuba...and the best part is that it sounds like it plays as good as it looks!!! Congrats!!
Mark

PS. Brian Brown brought to the BPO Hall this Spring a new 3/4 CC Rudi-unlacquered-that he had just bought while at the factory. Don and I got a chance to play it and listen to it....really a tremendous horn!

PPS...Nice hard case too!

I just remembered -- the company is "Kariso." That case alone is some serious $$$ bling. Again, congratulations!

Congrats! That is one beautiful tuba....I felt the same way about my 4345 rotary when I received it, and I am loving it more and more every year (like my wife)...I have the same case and while I do use a gig bag, the case is pretty incredible and nice to look at....I have been fortunate to own a 3/4, 4/4, an 5/4 Rudy and love the way they sound and play...You have yourself a special instrument there, it will last a lifetime, they are built to last....

We must have a Rudy owners convention some time. The first round is on me!
Now that is one fine idea! I'm in!

The Kariso cases are pretty fine, the best of both old and new. I'm delighted that there is still a company on Earth that makes a real quality woodshell case, and goes to the trouble to finish it so well with real chrome-plated steel latches, wheels that really work and last, etc. The one Rudolf Meinl 6/4 BBb tuba that I've bought and imported came in a Kariso case, because no one else makes a case large-enough for it (!)
