Tuba stand

Post by rshuster »

I recently broke my wrist but would like to continue playing as it heals. So I am looking into buying a tuba stand. Is anyone familiar with the stand from Tuba Essentials? Mind you, I am looking for a stand not a rest, something that holds the tuba stable. I have a Mirafone 186.

In the meanwhile...
find a chair which sits comfortably when the back rest is on your left side, maybe even use a pillow to keep the tuba from sliding around.

An adjustable office chair and a couple of belts to hold it in place works well as an impromtu stand. Plus it has wheels so you can roll it and not get a hernia.
