Colorful but too expensive for plastic. Wonder what the sound is like. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_so_14?rh ... 1443586238" target="_blank

Odd marketing strategy to present this tuba with one photo of the rear side of the instrument and two photos of the bag.

This is a positive review??
In addition to the freight I paid up front- I was charged duty, custom broker fees and an addition fee from ups when the horn came

For that price I'd take the Dillon three valve 3/4...

Does the black version have a darker sound?

If it were less than $1,000. I might risk it.

Joe... I really didn't want that made public yet. However, I CAN weld plastic!

The PTU-02 would be good for playing the blues. :)

Yeah I want one...

Until a few things happen:

- I realize I don't have any place to play it where it will add anything to the proceedings
- I realize it (probably) doesn't actually play anything like my real horns
- I have to explain it or myself more than once
- 90-120 seconds have passed
- I think of a hundred better ways to spend the money

I think you said it all right there.

I'd like to do a product evaluation, but I'm not going to spend over $1,000.00 for the opportunity . . . .

$1,242 plus shipping and customs is too much. This puts this tuba in the Chinese brass tuba range. If it were $395, I would take a chance and buy one. If more than $395 and less than $1,000. I would consider it. Hey Tiger, are you listening?

I think tuba players have had enough of fragile tubas made of plastic or brass for that matter. What's needed is a good rubber tuba.

I'd love a tuba that I could bounce...

I wonder if they could make a plastic tuba with a brass valve set, sort of like the fiberglas sousaphone but in a tuba. I know there have a been a few of these over the years. Harv Hartman used to play one. I forget the brand. But it seems to me like it would be a good idea for a small 3/4 size student tuba. It would be small, lightwieght, and be able to take a little abuse without denting, although I guess it could crack.

What do you think? should I go into business and make a million??
