TubaChristmas Sousaphone Bell Covers

Hey Guys,

I noticed on the TubaChristmas link referenced in another thread (http://www.tubachristmas.com/merchandise.htm), that they have bell covers available through Earl C. Benson & Associates.

My limited experience with another type of bell cover was that the sound was too muffled. I guess it depends on the type of material used.

Anyway...
Does anyone have experience playing with one of the TC bell covers on their horns? If so, what are your impressions?

Thanks!

I've yet to find a bell cover that didn't muffle at least a bit. For a TubaChristmas or mega-ensemble, though, who cares as long as everyone is having fun?

(If you truly must decorate, colored masking tape is great for inscribing festive text around your bell).
