1950's Besson finger buttons

Post by bigboymusic »

late 50's E flat Besson - Love it! but the finger buttons have no pearl anymore. Can I buy new buttons that will fit or are there companies that make just the pearl?

Companies that sell bead and jewelry making supplies (such as Fire Mountain) will sell natural pearl and abalone cabachons of various sizes. I once had a Willson tuba that lost a plastic pearl so I replaced them all with abalone. Looked much better and it cost under $20 for all four.
