Hi there!
I recently bought a cheap Eb tuba by Amati Kraslice. It's got 4 rotorary valves and plays ok (for my needs that is). Haven't played tuba for 15 years, but I wanna relax with it on a amateur basis from now on.
The only number stamped on the bass (below the keys) is this: 8546
1. Does anyone of you guys know how old it could be?
2. Anything else to add on this model?
3. Slightly off-topic: Where to buy rotor-bumpers? (preferably in Norway).

Re: Identification of Amati Kraslice tuba!
Welcome back to tuba playing!
For bumpers I cut down wine bottle corks. I have been doing this for about 45 years, with a little practice it is fairly easy to get the cuts correct. Whatever you end up using I hope that you enjoy your tuba.

Er der ikke en musikforretning ved navn “tema” i Bergen? De skulle dække blæserområdet.

Thanks for your reply Klaus, I'll keep it in English just for the sake of other users.
I never heard about "Tema" here in Bergen, but I do know of "MusikkMiljø". I think I'll go for the DIY approach with the corks as Mark mentioned though.
