I have only played the GR55, the day I took home my GR51. They were alike in many ways. The 55 bell is a little bigger, not uncomfortable. I can't play loud enough to speak about the limits of anything, but 55 was a very nice horn. The GR51 has worked out fine for me, an alternative to some popular C instruments.
