Looking for Boston area groups to play with

Happy New Year TubeNetters! I moved from California to Salem, Massachusetts a few months ago to take a job with the Dept. of HUD in Boston. Now that I'm settled in a bit, I'd like to start playing again and I'm looking for concert bands/wind ensembles to join.
Online searches have revealed several promising groups but I've noticed that many of these bands are a 30-40 min. drive from Salem. Coming from Southern California I certainly don't mind driving places but I've come to really appreciate public transportation here and would love to be able to bring the horn with me to work (Tip O'Neill Building by North Station) and then take the T somewhere to rehearse.
The tuba is really the only reason I still have my car, to be honest, so if there is any possibility of being able to play and sell my car, I'd be all over that!
In case you are curious, in California I played most recently with the Huntington Beach Concert Band (http://www.hbconcertband.org/) and Shoreline Symphonic Winds (http://www.shorelinewinds.org/Home/). Prior to that, I played with the Dublin Concert Band (http://www.dublinconcertband.ie/) during a year-long stint in Ireland.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions and I ask for your forgiveness of my rather limited knowledge of New England geography!
