Invent something for rotary valves next?

Hi Brett. Now being a piston fanatic, me thinks the next step in valve evolution is the piston. Ah!!! But I also hear cries of opposition. Sorry, only 4/5 of my horns are pistons and I am a bit predudice. I wish my rotary cimbasso had the same positive feel as the pistons on the F, CC, BBb and Euph. Perinet had something.

Terrific news! I'm glad for your buttons and my Yammy springs make my MW 2000 much easier to play than when I first encountered it. I'll look forward to the production model!

Yeah, you're probably right, how old are rotary valves anyway? (OLD!) Pistons are certainly simpler and frankly, I think piston horns are much easier to play... All of these innovations to rebuild and improve the valves is very cool.

...but after spending most of the last 20 years on rotary horns, I'm pretty stuck in my ways. I do think there's a difference in sound, and the "ease of playing" is hard for me to adjust to. Leave some work for me!

(And right about now, Joe can plug his 2155 to me again... )
