So what does the 5th rotary valve on an Eb do?

Probably a dumb question, but I just learned how to play a 3-valve and just picked up a four-valve Eb.

Just curious on why people add a 5th valve to a 4 valve horn.

Humm.. more range, more in tune. Makes sense
