Hey guys,

I am playing Romance by Weber on a recital soon and wanted to see if anyone have any details on the piece. I've found some slight information but nothing to complete the necessary information.

Anything will help and is appreciated.

From eying the score the solo part reminded me very much about the David concerto that I studied 40+ years ago. According to this abstract I apparently am not alone with that point of view:

One has to buy the full dissertation, but the abstract only refers to this given Romance only as ascribed to Weber, where I would have expected a full reference, if there had been one. Maybe the dissertation still tells more about the origins of this piece.
