Army Band final concert...

Post by bort »

I heard the bike bell on Tom Holtz's helicon loud and clear during Them Basses. Worth watching the live stream just for that.

I was there. Every tuba and euphonium player should try to attend at some time. A great event.

I also enjoyed the live performance. The full court press at the end was great.

I've only been for the last 2 years and each time I arrive on Thursday afternoon and stay through Saturday at noon. I may change this in the future to at least stay through the final concert on Saturday. I've talked to a few that are there the entire workshop. I'm not sure if I'd want to stay that long without better planning.

It is good to meet the vendors. Some of them actually remember our names from posts online and purchases.
I 'll be back every year I'm able to make it. It's worth the drive if for no other reason but to try out equipment. The $27.60 in tolls from Ohio through Breezewood, PA is another story.

Had a good time at the event. Got to meet JJ and played some fabulous horns. Hats off to Matt at Dillon Music for his professionalism and assistance. Looking forward to next year!!

Yeah, Breezewood is never fun, even besides the tolls. Well, at least gas is cheap this year. And, it's WAY faster than taking 77 south to Marietta(?) and then taking US50 all the way to DC. Don't ask, but I did it once... and it took forever.
