Does anybody know where or if I can find a recording of Pokorny playing the Vaughan Williams Tuba Concerto on his Contrabass CC York? He played it in May of 2012. I've been looking for a good recording of the Williams on a Contrabass and I just can't seem to find one. Any help would be appreciated!

It was on the CSO website for a while. I downloaded the MP3 and saved it in three segments:

I attended one of those performances, and this brought back great memories. Thanks for posting it!

I have tried several different computers and even an old I-phone and have not yet found one that can't play those sound files. Perhaps someone who knows more about this stuff than I can tell us what the problem is. I know that there are experts among the TubeNet tribe...

It plays on my brand new desktop with Windows 10 . I think trying to use a older computer or mobile device isn't going to work. If it will help I can copy the recordings and put them up on SOUNDCLOUD.

Try this . If it works I'll put up the other two.

Plays fine, but I'd really like to be able to download it as well. Pretty sure you can change that setting in Soundcloud....

I was able to successfully download these using Chrome from an android tablet and and android phone.
They would not download from my Mac using Chrome or Safari or my Windows 7 PC using Chrome or Firefox.

I didn't know I could do that but found the setting and you can now down load it .

Thank you very much for posting! I've been wanting to listen to this performance ever since I knew about it. The tone is amazing and really just.. omni present? I particularly enjoyed the cadenza. Gene's low range is absolutely amazing
