Yes. I have played at least 10 or 12 Gnagey CC tubas, about 50 of the Conn 5XJ series CC tubas, and so far more than 30 of the Eastman EBC562 CC tubas.
Of those three there is only one that I consider:
Most in-tune
Most ergonomic
Most responsive
Most affordable
Best looking
Best sounding (Though I know that is so personally subjective.)
Conclusion is:
Unless you and I have met, compared tubas together and conclude that we like and dislike the same things in tubas; what I think is not important as what is best for me will not be the best for everyone else as we are all genetically different and have different life experiences that bring us each to a different point on the ever widening pathway called "tuba player".
