Great buy! I thought I did well with my $750 25 J but you did alot better. I'm always happy when someone gets a good tuba deal.

In a household of 2 pro brass players there often will be a need for 2 warm-up instruments.
I certainly would like one of these, if it was in good working order. And if it weighed max 8kg.

There is a "Ground Valve Sleeve" from Ferree's tools, #N28 for truing bent valves. Price is $46.50 and it is ordered in the exact diameter for the valve. The catalog describes its use:

From what I can see you just need the tool and a rawhide mallet.
AFAIK you do not need a business license or tax number to order from them.
