A few years ago, Lee Stofer was a Kanstul dealer (maybe he still is?) and had these listed on his Web site.

I'm not sure if he can still get them in, but being the kind gentleman that he is, I wouldn't be surprised if he could still help you out somehow. Good luck!

Call Kanstul. Zig himself often answers the phone.

I have one and I think that they work better than the original bells. I called Kanstul to order. I had to wait around 3 months.

I still work with Kanstul, but since they decided to sell directly to the public, there is no dealer incentive to carry their bells, as you can get it as easily as I can.

As for Kanstul tubas, they are doing so much business selling overseas that it might take 2-3 months to get one. Ironically, Kanstuls are selling like crazy in China, and since the factory is working at capacity, that is their main focus.

Upon request, I will get one, shop-adjust and clean it, and deliver it to the new owner. My shop-adjusting consists of lapping the 5th rotor and detailing-out the 5th linkage, venting the pistons, and fully chemically-cleaning and treating the tuba, then play-test to make sure it would make me happy if I were the buyer. I am not a fan of the SKB cases, so I have Kanstul ship it without a case, and I offer the instrument with either an MTS hard case, Cronkhite gig bag, Altieri gig bag, or a combination, according to the buyer's wishes.

Is the detachable bell marching tuba a 7-1/4" tenon? Is that all their 2xJ bell is?

If so, and there isn't anything else making it incompatible...the Jupiter detachable bell marching tuba that looks like a Kanstul copy *might* also have a compatible 7-1/4" tenon. That's really out there, but it wouldn't be surprising.
