King and Conn Tuba Info

Hello Tubenetters!
I am trying to do some research on the more recent King and Conn BBb Concert Tubas for my College Band Director who wants to buy some tubas for the city Municipal Band. He can get a good deal on King and Conns due to his relationship with the Conn-Selmer folks, but I'm wondering how well made they are and how easily they can be played. What I'm desperately trying to do is avoid him buying another one of the big pieces of junk that the Yamaha 4-upright pistons (I think they're the 321's) again.
So... Does anyone know how the newer models of tubas from either King and Conn play for the average leisure tuba player?
Thanks!
