National Anthem

Post by tubapress »

I'm looking for an arrangement of the Star-Spangled Banner for a performance this summer at a baseball game. Anyone know of any really good, interesting arrangements that might fill the bill?

I need an arrangement for brass quintet.

Chris Sharp had made a fairly interesting arrangement of the Banner for the University of Central Florida. If you are playing this in an ensemble, it should be easily adaptable. Mr. Sharp is associated with the Brass Band of Central Florida and has been a staff arranger for Disney for many years.

Good Luck.

Arrangement for Wind Ensemble

Post by ThomasP »

Luigi Zaninelli has arranged the star spangled banner for Wind Ensemble. It's not a sing-a-long version, but it is very moving. But is only for Wind Ensemble. I don't know what instrumentation you need.

There is a good one available here, arranged by Robert Elkjer... he does a lot of interesting arrangements for Joe Alessi.

I have a chart I did for my brass quintet. It is a bit ot there in that it will not be your average sing along, but for an outdoor event it is very cool. it basically starts out with the trumpets playing the melody in canon, a measure apart. Then goes off from there. I can send you a copy of the finale file if you have the program.
