Hi all, my Miraphone 188 CC tuba was stolen at the end of January from my car in Riverside, CA (it was in the trunk). I've talked to music stores/pawn shops etc and noting has turned up so far. Please keep an eye out for it. The serial # is 9036854 and it was in a black gig bag with a PT-50 mouthpiece. Thanks.

OP, make sure to also check CraigsList and auction sites. I hate to hear of your misfortune and hope this matter can be resolved with you getting your horn back no worse for wear.

I think the car was left unlocked by accident or they were just really good because there was no damage to the car. They went through everything, took stuff out of the glovebox, etc.

Well he's technically in Moreno valley but he's the guy who completely f***** up the tuba reselling market both locally and on ebay. He's a reseller that should of been out of business awhile ago since he buys any horn he can. If he bought your horn its probably still there since he doesn't really move a lot of concert tubas. I'm surprised you don't know of frank since he's infamous here in socal for selling overpriced s*** tubas to anyone who's willing to drive down to moreno valley.
Sir, I wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

If the car has a key fob that can unlock the doors/trunk remotely, I have heard of these systems being very hackable. You might want to disconnect the remote trunk release if that's possible on your vehicle.
