6 valve piston F tuba?

Post by daflyingtubaman »

This is a question I've had for a long time. While I admit that I haven't seen many piston Fs, all the ones I've seen have been 5-valve. I've been wanting to know if a 6-valve 4 piston/2 rotor tuba exists outside someone's customization, and if it is any good/in tune. Does it exist?

ValveSlide beat me to it (probably because I am much more winded in my posts ), but...
The Meinl Weston/Melton 46SL-P is precisely that. This is the only production 4P+2R horn I have heard of.
