The King York

I had the talented Tabor build me a 4v Frankentuba. The bell and bow are from a York and the body is a King 1240 BBb 3v with an added valve. I just received it on Monday, which only took 6 days to get all the way across the country from Massachusetts! I did a quick polish today and got my first good playing session in. It plays absolutely perfect and stays well in tune. I wanted to thank Tabor for his great work and his generosity in working with me on a deal!
Cheers,
Jared

The 4th valve is a Conn of approximately the same bore.

The old style bell is so much taller, does it play in tune? The new style 2341 has a fake York bell, but i assumed it had longer wraps. Is it wider in the throat/stack area?
Was that York bell a Monster Eb bell or a model 33 bell? Or are those the same?

Would a Frankentuba made of King and York parts be known as a "Kork" tuba?

Just as a side note, "yorking" is a cricket bowling technique where the bowler delivers a ball that bounces right at the batsman's feet. While I think Jared's tuba is very nice, as an occasional cricket player I am definitely
not partial to "yorking."
(The Oxford English Dictionary suggests that the term comes from the Middle English yuerke which means to trick or deceive.)
