Needing a tuba review

Since I am on a serious budget I am thinking of going with the JP CC HB21/Adams Copy. I HAVE played one of these, but it was literally for less than five minutes. I'm going to play one on Sunday, but would love any and all information about these very new horns. I know They're classified as a 4/4, but when I played it the horn played larger than that. Could've been the player. I don't really know. Again I'm just looking for some reviews.
Thanks,
Zac

The HB's on which they are based were called a 4/4 back in the day. To the people who call a MW2155 or a 1292 a 5/4, those HB's would probably also be a 5/4.

Well Zac, I've had mine for about 6 weeks now. I played on a Mack 410 cc prior to that. Over all, I'm very happy with it. It has a beautiful open sound in all registers and really sings in the high register. It's very well put together and certainly feels like a more expensive horn. It does have some intonation issues, especially the 2-3 combination. It's also very mouthpiece sensitive I'm currently using a GW Baer with good results. It's definitely an upgrade from my 410 although that instrument did have superior intonation. I hope that helps.

That makes perfect sense to me. So essentially the Packer would be a 4/4+. That I think would be plenty large enough for the next few years.
