Your survey has a basic flaw, you left out all of the non-professionals, non-student, non-educator players like me!

Well, the fact that I don't fit in either of his categories is kind of moot, because I've never used any of the methods he mentions for tuba; almost 100% of my practice and learning has been on the job. The volunteer job, that is. I transferred my hard-won horn technique, such as it is, to tuba. With a lot of air.
