Valve Tolerance
Does anyone have any experience with the YEP-842? It seems like the tolerance is very tight on my horn. Even after applying valve oil and I spin the valve around in it's casing it feels like it is rubbing up again it. The valves are also rather noisy. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Re: Valve Tolerance
Looks like I had my instrument cleaned this way about 2yrs ago and used very lightly since then. Could this be why?

Re: Valve Tolerance
All good advice from Joe. Yamaha is well known for tight valves - it's one of the things that helps them to play so well.
It will need a very thin high quality oil. If this doesn't work then you should contact a Yamaha rep to see if they'd be willing to lap the valves a bit (assuming it's always been this way).
