Hello fellow tube netters!

Some friends and I are looking to start a German Band. Any suggestions where to buy arrangements of some traditional German Music?

If you can find it (I'm not sure it's still in print), I like the "Hungry Five in Germany" set, arranged by Harry Alford.

It's scored for 2 clarinets, trumpet, trombone and tuba.

(Leave out the "wisecracks".... ;-) )

The only importer I know for this stuff is now out of business. Herbert was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. E-mail or PM me and maybe I can help you out.

The North Royalton library at http://www.bandmusicpdf.org" target="_blank" target="_blank
includes several German pieces (Alte Cameramen, Under the Double Eagle, The Little German Band, etc)

This site http://ingeb.org/Volksong.html" target="_blank" target="_blank
has a humongous amount of German music, but a strange download system I have yet to figure out.

As I get the site behind your second link, it has the text for German folk songs, but not the music.

Don, my community band folder has Alte Kameraden - possibly a variation of Alte Cameramen.
