BAT

Post by bort »

Recently I've had the desire to noodle around on a MW 2165. Not sure why, but I keep thinking it'd be a lot of fun.

Just a random thought.

That is all.

If you're ever in the Salt Lake City area, stop by and play one of mine (I have two). I've been using my 2165 in the Utah Symphony since they first came out, and I have yet to play ANY horn that can put out that much sound.

Thanks! It's been a long time since I've played one, but remember it being a ton of fun to play. The last BAT that I played was a BMB 6/4, which was also a lot of fun.

Kind of wouldn't mind getting to know a BAT and spending some time to figure out what it's all about. Occasionally, I regret selling my Neptune, but even that wasn't really the same as a piston BAT. I certainly don't *need* a 6/4 tuba... but for all of us average tuba nobodies, is it really about *need* anyway?
