Large Shank Trombone Lyre Fitting a Tuba Receiver/Mouthpiece

So, could a large shank trombone lyre theoretically fit on an American tuba shank mouthpiece or the tuba's receiver? I need to use a lyre, but the horn I'm using (a YBB-202MWC) doesn't have the place where you put a lyre. So does anyone have an previous experience of trying this? Or will I have to use a flute lyre, that'll attach to my arm, rather than the instrument?

yes a trombone lyre will fit over the mouthpiece shank above the receiver.

you may want to use some tape to keep from scratching the mouthpiece, or to get it to fit tighter.
Often you can just hold the music with your left hand too.

The Yamaha YBB-202MWC is a marching tuba (contra) which makes holding music in your left hand a little difficult.
