You'll notice more difference with a mouthpiece change. The thickness of silver plate that's laid on is a fraction of the diameter of a human hair.
Silver's silver--it'll tarnish the same no matter whether it's satin or shiny. You may not notice the tarnish on satin as much, however.

Silver vs. raw vs. lacquer.... not much difference that MY ear can tell. However... I own some each and I can certainly tell you that the satin finish is by far the toughest to keep clean.... unless you LIKE the look of tarnished silver

I always thought I can hear a difference, because the thickness of raw/plating is different than that of "paint". I always liked the bare metal's sound and response, and I even stripped the lacquer off my CC, which I wanted to "liven up" and then left it patina. On THAT horn, I thought that was the best sound and response - which is what I wanted, looks be hanged!
You don't say if it's lacquered, but if you like the sound, why change?
