Where can I get used conn spare parts? Looking for braces, valve stems and buttons for my 38K.

Unless I'm mistaken... modern replacement stems (14K) will be a little short but that can be taken care of with a spacer under the fingerbuttons.

Fingerbuttons will be generic. Matching the braces will be a stretch but generic sockets and rods are available.

Make sure the threads in the pistons are good and all match. If you have at least one stem for comparrison, that will help.

Sometimes these 'easy' jobs can be stressful!

Why the 14K and not the 20K which is the same size? Are the short action valves the difference?

I have 3 different stems (length and diameter) and 3 different buttons, so I don't know which are correct. I suppose the threads are what's important. Hopefully the valves weren't retapped.

I was afraid you had mixed parts. That's often the case on older instruments. You need to take your horn to a good tech who can figure out what you have and what you need. I could send you three stems and three fingerbuttons but they might not do you any good. If your stems are too short you will not be able to get a good piston alignment.

The 14K and 20K stems are different. Don't know why. I just fix things. I don't design them.
