Of all of the myriad makes of ophicleides out there, how does this one rate?
Hows the intonation/workmanship/etc...??

I wouldn't go to all that expense if all you do is play the ophicleide polka on it!!

Neat stuff!
I mean, there are probably 1's of people in the world who truly *need* something like this, but I sure am glad that there is still at least 1 person motivated enough to build it. That's pretty insane to think about, right?

I exited unscathed, financially and musically.
Bloke needs one... or two.
One in B flat, and one in C.

No, no, heavens no!
Only bright red will do....

That has got to be one of the most bizarre music(?)-related photos I have even seen.
I can just imagine what Berlioz might say ("now that we've got them
all in one place.....")

I like the way you think...
Lacquered silver and silver lacquer... then painted red.
Heck, no. pOphecleide, made of plastic. I hear they play just fine with a metal mouthpiece.

Seems like a job for Sellmansberger Mouthpieces....
I think there could be a huge market in this Joe.

' needs a curved-rim mouthpiece, though.

1/ Wouldn't that be what would we would have, were the premier opponents to - simply - team up?
2/ Aren't you breaking a rule that is stated at the top of each forum?
3/ just for the Knoxvillian:
