Anyone have experience with the Miraphone gig bags? Pro's, Cons?

They are great in every possible way except:
1) Ugly
2) Made to fit Miraphone tubas. If you don't have a Miraphone, it's kind of a toss-up if it'll work for you.
But otherwise, they are really, really great.

I play a Miraphone 5050 euphonium and use the Miraphone gig bag. The padding is pretty thick -- maybe an inch thick. There's a rigid disk in the lid of the bag that helps protect the bell from bumps. As Bort mentioned, it is ugly unless like blue.

I have one for my 186.
I think it's really nice.
Good quality. Fits well.
Very comfortable to wear it as a backpack.
I like blue. So, no complaints there. : )
I've had it for a few years and there are almost no signs of wear.
I know many people complain about top-loader bags but I'm perfectly happy with the design. If I actually "top-loaded" it, I'd probably feel differently.
But I always do it this way:
-stand the horn on its bell
-lower the bag over it
-tip it to the side (away from the top flap) while holding the handle on the bag with my right hand and securing the edge of the bell with my left hand
-continue the rotation until its standing upright
-zip the bell flap
-have a beer ("optional" step)

I have a VMI 103 4/4 BBb 4 rotary valves so I believe the bag would work well for that horn. And blue doesn't bother me to much.

I have them for both my HB-2 and Firebird. They are hands down my favorite top loader bag.

One of my students got one for a Jupiter 582 (BBb) and another is using one for a Mack CC 186 clone. I advised both of them to remove the Mirafone logo because it's too tempting.

I can understand that reasoning.

They are very good bags! Also the shoulder straps are very good, if you need those (I do...).
I have one for my Norwegian Star, perfect fit.
Thought about buying the one from the Ambassador Eb for my Besson ...

Could someone who owns the Large Miraphone bag for BBb tuba measure the depth of the bag. My tuba is 42" tall and I want to make sure it will fit. Thanks

I own the "medium to large" bag (one size down). It definitely won't hold a 42" tall tuba.
I tried it with my old-style King 2341 which is 41" and it doesn't fit. Horn is too tall and the bell diameter is too great.
Sorry, I know that doesn't answer your question, Bigroo. But more info for the Tubenets.

That definitely helps, process of elimination. I ordered the largest bag they make.
