Hi-
FYI---For anyone wishing to order tuba or euphonium mouthpieces ( like the Kanstul-Geib) from Kanstul, Jim New, the mouthpiece maker who makes them, has left the company. Kanstul has no remaining Kanstul-Geib mthpces anymore.
However, Jim has set up his own mthpces business, and can make those mthpces at his own shop for around $150 each.
His web site is:

Some years ago, Jim made me an 18-style mouthpiece based (pun intended) on Kanstul's version of the 18, with its "P" drill throat instead of the larger Bach spec, Kanstul's deeper but still rounded cup, and my preferred 1.28 cup i.d. instead of the traditional 1.26. Great mouthpiece. Perfect for a Conn or Conn-style (meaning @ .730 or so bore and moderate to large bell tenon) souzy, which was its intended application.

Before finalizing the order, he emailed me a screen shot of the CAD trace so I could transfer it to a cardboard template (yes, 2-D, not 3-D, but hey - it's still great) to check for embouchure fit. Now that's service!

I have three mouthpieces that work great on my VMI Neptune (Euroshank required). One of them is the Kanstul Geib. It's a terrific piece - just a tad brighter than I like on that particular horn, but lends the best intonation of those three.
