Denis Wick 1L question

The Denis Wick 1L Classic is listed as having a 32.75 mm cup on the Denis Wick site, but listed as having a 32.5 mm cup on the Dave Werden Tuba Mouthpiece guide.

Anyone have an idea what is correct? Have one to measure?

I am looking for another mouthpiece to try for my Wessex Prague (4/4 BBb punchy little horn like a Piggy) and I might want something slightly larger than what I have (Helleberg and recently a 32.6 Blokepiece Imperial #2 rim.) Love Denis Wick for Euph, so I wanted to try one for Tuba so I could get that sound and feel I want for my little horn.

What he said - cup diameter measurements are not really comparable between manufacturers to that degree of accuracy.

I've never seen one, but the general story seems to be that it's on the large side, in most ways that matter. If you've been disappointed in the built-in search function here, you might try google -- something like "wick 1l site:chisham.com".

This may be related. I inquired about a difference in published rim diameters for the SM-Solo on the Wedge Mouthpiece website. Here's Dr. Dave's reply:
Both measurements are correct, but the actual number depends on where you take the measurement. Manufacturers measure at .04, .05. .08, and other points. We used to list the ID at .05 but have started to use .08 as well. It does get a bit confusing.
Perhaps this also explains your difference as well.
