Any recommendations for repertoire?

Post by kmdallday »

I'm currently taking Junior Level lessons in college and am in the process of looking for a solo with accompaniment to prepare for my Juries this semester. The most recent piece I played was Andante and Rondo by Antonio Capuzzi. I passed my juries pretty well, not amazing, but I did well enough. I'm looking to push myself this semester and really show great improvement.

Do any of yall have recommendations of any pieces that are harder than Andante and Rondo, or at least similar? I'll be meeting with my professor later today to discuss specifics of what to play, but I want to have at lest a few pieces in mind.

Thanks a bunch! :tuba:

Get yourself a good CD (or two or three) and see how many of the best players adapt pieces from other instruments. In your hunt you will find something, and have a great recording to inspire you as well.
