Does anyone know of a music store in the midwest where you can try a variety of tubas? I am in Nebraska, close to Sioux City, IA. The closest one that I know of is the WW and BW in South Bend, an 11-12 hour drive.

Why not take a cheap flight east?

I'd suggest surfing over to travelocity or priceline and booking a cheapo flight to the east coast. Newark, NJ, is near Dillon's at Woodbridge, NJ, and Baltimore (BWI) is near Baltimore Brass. Get a rental car, stay over, and visit both places.

Im from Los Angeles and I have to fly out to Detroit to go to Custom Music and Woodwind and Brasswind, a 5 hour rental car drive from Custom. If you can head in that direction(south east Michigan/ Northern Indiana) then you would get to play a lot of nice horns. Thats my plan next month anyways. Its really worth the 11-12 hour drive considering how much money your are going to invest in a horn/horns. You want to make the right decision. Good luck. Pick a winner!
