I just wanted to say what a wonderful job Dennis Winter and Louis Young did in putting together one of the best regional conferences I've been to. It was absolutely fantastic!
Steven Mead was truely remarkable as both a player and a human being.
Anyone else have anything to share?

I had a great time with the tuba euphonium ensemble I played in, though, I wish I had asked sunday off for work as well since I had to leave during symphonia since I had to be @ work the next morning at 7..

Finally got me a new mp, pt-48.. sat down with all the Pts and kept coming back to that one as the most comfortable and natural feeling when it came to range and such. Also picked up a kellyberg and a couple pieces of music (me and some guys got bored got our own group together and sightread "dance of the little tubas"

First off thanks to everyone who came to GPRTEC. I'm a student of Dr. Young's and I know he was very pleased w/ the conference. It was amazing to simply be around all of these great tuba and euphonium players. I still can't believe I actually performed on the same stage at the same time as Steven frickin' Mead! He is a real cool guy to work with. I found the tuba I'm going to buy...the Meinl Weston 2155 (liked it a lot better than the Miraphone 1291). I finally found Variations on The Carnival of Venice (that's going to be the finale of my senior recital....if all goes well in the next 3-4 years). All in all a great conference. Thanks again, for all of you who came.
