Family is wanting to take a quick trip from Clarksville TN to St. Louis to see the zoo, are there any decent music shops you could recommend? I would love to get to try a few horns. We will be heading home by Wednesday

If my memory serves there is not much in St Louis as far as
trying out tubas. If you like saxophones Sax quest is about a 15-20min
drive into downtown from the zoo. They have a nice Sax Musuem.
It has been 5 years since I lived there so things may have changed but I doubt it.

There's many sights to see and fine teachers to drop by for a lesson with, but in terms of a place to try out tubas, nothing here to my knowledge.
Enjoy the St. Louis Zoo. It's one of the best free attractions left anywhere, and has always been regarded as one of the best zoos in North America.

If you can continue farther south, there's always Joe Sellmansberger - "Bloke" - down in western Tennessee someplace. If nothing else, he could put together a customized mouthpiece; talk shop, etc.
