Tuba and Piano Commissioning Consortium

Postby sybrandon » Sun Mar 12, 2017 6:02 pm

It has been suggested that I compose a high school level composition for tuba and piano. Three Animations for tuba and piano musically represents the types of characters often used in animated movies. The movements are Ogre (moderate tempo with threatening sounds), Heroine (slow tempo and lyrical), and Hero (fast tempo and heroic). The piece is designed to be played by high school level musicians and would last about eight minutes. Cost of participation is $25. Participants may submit a recording of their performance and be eligible to receive the $100 prize for the best recording submitted. For more information, please visit http://www.cooppress.net/page9/page385/index.html" target="_blank Deadline for indicating interest is May 1, 2017. Thanks for considering this opportunity.

So, if I am understanding you correctly, you want your piece to be performed and literally are going to get people to pay to submit a recording which you can use to sell more copies. Plus, the $100 prize will be covered by the minimum 5 participants. In fact, you will make $25. Good luck in this endeavour.
