Mirafone Eb

Postby Jim Brewer » Tue Mar 14, 2017 12:06 pm

How well do the older Mirafone Eb's play? Found this on EBay.

Instead of a smaller Bb, thinking Eb. More band playing and small ensemble than anything else. Maybe subbing with an orchestra at times.

well, the Miraphone isn't a chromatic instrument, because it's lacking a 5th valve. Not a huge deal on a BBb or even a CC tuba, but more important on an Eb

Also, don't be surprised if the Low Bb on the Miraphone is very stuffy
