Miraphone Firebird F281 s/n 9056655 is stolen

Post by Matt Walters »

Still looking for this STOLEN tuba. Maybe 10 years ago someone used a "stolen" credit card to buy this tuba and have it shipped to "Mail Box" type store in California. 3 months after it was delivered we get a notice from the credit card company that it was bought with a stolen credit card and the funds were removed from Dillon Music's account. Baltimore Brass also got hit for a tuba by the same person. Dillon Music, not some faceless credit card company is out the cost of the tuba. That's how it works with the credit card companies.

Did any honest person buy this 5+1 gold brass Miraphone F tuba as a used tuba and not know they got a stolen tuba? It would be nice if we could point a finger back to the original thief before I retire in a few more years.

Curious what would happen to the hapless person who unknowingly bought stolen goods. I think they are out their money, too.
