Europa and the Bull premier ** Broadcast update** April 4

Post by Jeff Anderson »

I wanted to give everyone an update on the upcoming SFS broadcast that includes the North American premier of "Europa and the Bull." You can hear it this coming Tuesday, April 4 at 8pm PDT. Our broadcasts are on KDFC-FM and available online and streaming after the broadcast. You can access KDFC here:

The performances of the piece were so well received by all. Magnificent reviews from as far away as the Financial Times in London. Robin's piece is a wonderful addition to the repertoire and it was a thrill and honor to bring it to life with MTT and my colleagues in the San Francisco Symphony.

Hi Jeff. I'm going to set the 4th aside since I wasn't able to get to the concerts. I'm glad it went well. KDFC has a 'repeater' station down here in Monterey Bay, just in case I'm in the car.

Thanks for posting this, as I did end up missing the Tuesday night broadcast. Interesting piece, but I think I need to listen to it again. It's narrative is subtle, I think. Not much percussion, which is probably not a bad thing - modern pieces are often times very percussion heavy. What do I know! - I'll listen again. Mr Anderson played beautifully.
