I wanted to pass along the sad news of the passing of Gary Tirey, who served as tuba professor and band director at Otterbein University for 38 years. I was blessed to have him as my first tuba teacher. He will be missed by many.

He was my first teacher as well. WONDERFUL man, great teacher, good friend. They don't make 'em like him any more. RIP GRT!!
