MACK210 Should I Buy It?

I am a Junior in high school, I am planning to buy my own tuba. I currently have the Yamaha YBB321, which is the ones we use at school, I don't like them, so I plan to buy one of my own that I can use for honor bands and college. I don't have much money, and I will not buy anything over $2500. The tuba I found is called MACK TU210S, it is silver plated with rotary valves. It is for $2200, and it seems like a good horn, comes with a case and mouthpiece. I am not sure if I should buy this tuba or not, because I am afraid it will be a downgrade from the Yamaha, which is $6800. Does anyone know anything about the MACK 210 in particular? Should I buy it?

I've not played the 210, but I own the 410 CC. Tom does a fantastic job, and tons of players on this forum will attest to the quality of his instruments. Do some research, and play test if you can. Otherwise, it's a great choice.

I did.

In lacquer. But the silver one I saw was VERY pretty!!

Don't throw away the mouthpiece that comes with it.
