Hey folks
The choice of Sousa gigbags seems to be pretty limited, so here's one you might not know about.

They're in Germany, so postage to the US might be a bit steep, but if you're in Europe (like me) they're a pretty good option.

They even come in colours that aren't black!

I've had mine for about 18 months and it's a nice bit of kit.
Well padded exterior, slightly less well padded bell compartment with pocket at the bottom for your bits & bobs.

Big, solid zips on the outside.

Plywood and foam base, with plastic strips riveted to the outside.

It has wheels, which are a godsend when you don't drive.

Handle at the top for dragging along, and one at the side for carrying (if you're over seven feet tall)

There's a strap all the way round, which will go over one shoulder.
Not recommended!

A few downsides: one of the zips on the bell compartment has come off. Maybe I just don't know my own strength.

One of the bell screws has worked away at the black covering on the inside - not through to the other side, just through to the foam padding.
(I could remove the screw, but then I'd lose it)
I've covered this up with rubber and gaffa tape.

I managed to kill the wheels by dragging it up and down kerbs, bumps, steps, walls etc... entirely my fault!
I've replaced the wheels and am treating these ones more carefully.
More rubber and gaffa to cover up the rivets on the inside.

I'm told my horn is a 20K replica - it's certainly not a jumbo or anything and it fits fine. Snug, but fine.

I don't work for Gedo Music, I'm just a satisfied customer.
I also have one of their Upright Bass bags and that's still going strong after about 15 years.
