Are there different models of Marzan slant rotor BBb Tubas? I was looking at the one on ebay and the one for sale on Grady Instruments sight, the ebay one appears to have a longer-skinnier bell. Are their other significant differences between models.
Any info would be appreciated

I think the only "versions" were:
* BBb or CC
* 4 or 5 valves
* 1-piece or detachable bell
My opinion: the Grady and eBay tubas look the same, just the angles of the photos and the raw brass/lacquer differences make them look different.

^ This. Both are B&M. I do not believe B&M made any Marzan bass tubas. If I recall correctly, the CC model had a slight change in the design of the bugle later in production in an attempt to correct some pitch issues.
The Willson ones came in BBb, CC (17" bells, not sure if they made any 19") and Eb (16"? forgot the bell sizes). Have yet to see an F, but they may exist.

I bet a 5 valve solo CC would be a sweetheart,if one exists.

They did, but the four valve is just fine once you get used to manipulating the main slide only.

I've only seen 4-valve models, and the ones I have played were pretty good. I *think* they are pretty close to the current Willson 4400 CC tuba...?

B&M made all of the large Marzan tubas, both keys, both valve types. Willson made the smaller 17" bell Marzan tubas. The small ones are like a small 4/4 size, and the big ones are like a small 5/4 size.
