At 0:39 in this video, literally a split second of a NOLA band with an F(?) tuba appears:

The singer looks a little bit like Erika Lewis of Tuba Skinny.
Unfortunately, there is no tuba on the soundtrack. Thus, this topic does not appear under the heading "Who played tuba..."
Real or actors? If real, who?

Looks like a B&S or similar F. No idea of the fellow.

I don't know if Jon Gross still posts here but he would probably know who the NOLA players are. A couple of the kids playing in the still picture might be members of the Swamp Donkeys. There are quite a few students in NOLA who float in and out of the local bands. Some stay. Catch Jon on Facebook.

That's a real player. His name is Amir Gray. I believe he studied under Dan Parentoni at IU. I bought my Besson Eb tuba from him. He comes on the board from time to time.

I should have recognized Amir (although much of his face is hidden by the horn in the photo) because I've talked with him several times here in Chicago.Billy M. wrote:That's a real player. His name is Amir Gray.
