David Baker wrote a really cool Sonata for Tuba and String Quartet. Roland Szentpali also has a Ballade for Tuba and String Quartet.

Several years ago, I played this with piano at one of the regional ITEA things...
(transcribed for double bass & piano from violin & orchestra)
...but a string quartet accompaniment would be simple to write...or just grab the orchestra parts from IMSLP...

The double bass transcription is transposed from the original F to C:

yeah...The parts would have to be transposed to C, but a good music writing program should be able to scan and get 95%+ of it right.
