I love mine. Super simple and easy to use. You can use dawn, or any other liquid dish soap. Rinse it until the water is clear for a minute.

simple green crystal is awesome stuff
Worst case scenario on buildup, just use white vinegar in the tool.

Mark, I use mine every few months and it works very well. I also use Dawn dish washing liquid in the QHR. I have an adapter and short piece of garden hose so I can attach it to the shower head in the bathroom. This way there's warm water mixing with the soap and going thru the horn.

That's just a 3/4" x 1/2" brass bushing, right?

Pretty sure they're both 3/4", but one end is tapered (shower head connection) the other is straight thread male type hose connection.

-- edit --
According to Roweenie's post below, it's:
1/2" FPT (female pipe thread) × 3/4" MHT (male hose thread)(I worked in a plumbing supply during college)
Thanks Roweenie.
